Q. I have been a housekeeper for over ten years, but I feel uncomfortable negotiating my salary with a new employer. What should I do?
A. If you prefer, we can have that conversation for you. When applying for a position with us, we can discuss your job expectations, and then request a compensation and benefits package that you feel good about.
Q. I recently stopped working with my employer of 8 years. The family I worked with before that I worked with for 7 years, both of which were referrals. I have great references but have never had to write a resume before, nor do I know how to prepare for an interview. I feel I am well qualified to be a nanny though. Do you have any advice for me?
A. Not a hard problem to fix! Neverland Nannies & Domestics offers resume re-writing assistance, exclusively to the professional applicants we work with. Additionally, when you interview with us, we ensure your preparedness by addressing all of your concerns, setting you up for success prior to sending you out on an interview. One of our requirements, however, is that all applicants provide us with an initial resume in order to be represented by our agency. In our minds, it shows your level of dedication, knowing at the very least you tried your best, which is exactly the type of domestic applicants we want to work with!
Q. I have been a preschool teacher for 5 years and am looking to become a nanny. Is there any way you can help me?
A. Unfortunately, our agency is unable to represent those seeking a career change. If however, you are looking to become a nanny, we would certainly recommend visiting the International Nanny Association (INA). The INA is a great resource which will most likely address all of your questions and point you in the right direction.
Q. Do you accept walk-ins?
A. Neverland Nannies & Domestics offers interviews by appointment only. If you see a position of interest, you may apply with for the position by enrolling with our agency.
Q. I am looking to relocate to Orange County from New York for a position. Are you able to assist me?
A. As long as you meet the Neverland Nannies & Domestics agency requirements and are open to the possibility that you may need to be responsible for your relocation, then we are happy to assist as best we can. Although some employers are open to offering relocation assistance, we cannot guarantee that a family will agree to it at any point.
